Pangaea Guild Hall Announces Grand Opening of Pangaea Guild Hall Tavern on October 31st
A new Old World-inspired tavern will bring food, drink, live music, events, and community together in a larger space in Redmond
REDMOND, OR — August 2026 — Pangaea Guild Hall is thrilled to announce the expansion of its Redmond gathering space with the opening of Pangaea Guild Hall Tavern, a new Old World-inspired tavern coming to the restaurant space inside High Desert Music Hall, located at 818 SW Forest Ave.
The Tavern will officially celebrate its Grand Opening on October 31st, 2026, with a soft opening planned for early October. In the meantime, Pangaea's existing café & bar on 6th street will remain open throughout the transition, ensuring the community can continue to enjoy the space they have helped build while preparations for the Tavern are underway.
The expansion represents an exciting new chapter for Pangaea Guild Hall — and, most importantly, an opportunity to create a larger space for the community that made Pangaea possible in the first place.
From Café to Tavern
Pangaea Guild Hall began with a simple idea: create a place where people could gather, connect, and feel at home.
That idea has resonated with the Redmond community. The success of the café has been driven by the people who continue to walk through its doors, support local events, bring their friends, and make Pangaea part of their lives.
Now, Pangaea is ready to grow.
The new Pangaea Guild Hall Tavern will provide significantly more room for guests, food and beverage service, live entertainment, gaming, and community events. The space will accommodate approximately 75–100 guests, compared with the 50-person capacity of the current location, and features a commercial kitchen and an oversized bar with 15 beer taps.
“We wouldn't be here without our community,” said Chris Trulsen, owner of Pangaea Guild Hall. “The café has been successful because people in Redmond and Central Oregon chose to support us, spend time with us, and make Pangaea their own. This expansion is our opportunity to give something bigger back to the community.”
Step Into Another World
Pangaea Guild Hall’s Tavern will embrace the atmosphere of an Old World tavern and medieval great hall, transforming the existing restaurant into an immersive gathering space while keeping the warmth and approachability of a neighborhood pub.
Guests can expect traditional tavern-style food and drink, with a menu centered around hearty comfort food such as fish and chips, pasties, hand pies, sandwiches, soups, salads, and seasonal offerings. The full bar will feature beer, wine, and cocktails, with multiple taps providing plenty of room for a rotating selection of draft beverages.
The Tavern will also feature two themed private rooms for groups and special gatherings.
A Bigger Home for Pangaea Events
The expanded space will allow Pangaea to bring more of the events its community already loves to a larger, more accommodating venue.
Planned programming includes live music, trivia, karaoke, gaming events, DJ nights, open mic nights, community gaming, bingo benefiting local charities, and more.
And yes Pangaea After Dark is coming to the Tavern.
The first Pangaea After Dark event at the new space is scheduled for September 4, 2026, giving the community an early opportunity to experience the Tavern before its official October opening.
The larger venue will allow Pangaea to continue expanding its signature events while creating room for new performers, musicians, artists, game nights, and community gatherings.
